When everything falls silent in Finland, this is the exception: rapids that refuse to give in, even in the depths of winter.
I stood there. Everything was white, calm, frozen. Only the river was moving.
Haida polarizer + 0.9 graduated ND on, so the winter scene doesn’t blow out and the water still feels alive.
And suddenly, -26°C didn’t matter anymore.

The English Church.

During my recent scouting tour in Copenhagen for an upcoming photography workshop, I captured this long exposure of the iconic St. Alban’s Church. Known as „The English Church,“ it beautifully reflects its Gothic Revival architecture in the serene waters nearby.

But why is it called „The English Church“?

St. Alban’s was built in the late 19th century (consecrated in 1887) to serve the growing Anglican community in Denmark. It is named after St. Alban, Britain’s first Christian martyr, and was funded in part by Sir Arthur Blomfield, an English architect. Its history is intertwined with British-Danish relations, standing as a symbol of friendship and shared cultural heritage.

The combination of timeless architecture and Copenhagen’s peaceful atmosphere made this spot perfect for experimenting with long exposure techniques. Can’t wait to return for more!

Little Patagonia

This was the longest hike of our Haida Filter Autumn Photo Tour 2025. We definitely underestimated it a bit — roughly 500 meters of elevation from the parking lot to reach this stunning spot in Italy. The place reminded me so much of Patagonia that I couldn’t help calling it Little Patagonia. Truly one of the most impressive locations I’ve seen in a long time.

The image was captured using a Haida polarizer and a Haida GND 0.9 filter.

Unknown Waterfall at the Highlands

This long-exposure shot captures the dramatic beauty of an unknown waterfall in the Highlands, where the cascading water appears silky and ethereal against the rugged, moss-covered rocks. Shot at f/9 with a 10-second exposure and ISO 100, the use of a Haida 10-stop ND filter was essential in achieving this effect. The filter significantly reduces the amount of light entering the lens, allowing for a longer shutter speed that smooths out the motion of the water while maintaining rich details in the foreground. The moody atmosphere, enhanced by the overcast sky and soft mist, adds depth and a sense of mystery to the composition.
