Haida Picture Appreciation | July 2026
This month's Picture Appreciation is here, let's appreciate some amazing photos taken by our excellent official Haida Ambassadors with Haida filters!
Fanad Head Lighthouse, Ireland
The photograph captures Fanad Head Lighthouse at dawn, bathed in the warm glow of the rising sun. Dynamic, stretched clouds add drama to the scene, while the long exposure time allows the water to gently lap against the rugged, jagged rocks.
The lighthouse’s white silhouette rises above the rocky promontory, creating a harmonious blend of architecture and the wild, natural landscape. This shot perfectly captures the beauty and unique atmosphere of the Irish coast.

The rock and the restless sea
The waves surged with force, as if trying to pull the lone rock into the deep. Yet it stood firm, a silent witness to thousands of sunrises. That evening, under a purple-painted sky, the meeting of sea and stone turned into a rare and mesmerizing spectacle.

I took the photo “Diamonds” during a winter trip to Iceland this year. It was taken at Diamond Beach, a very popular spot among tourists and photographers. I’ve been there several times, but this was the first time I’ve experienced such conditions. As you can see, it’s worth revisiting the same places again and again :)

Sea stacks towered along the Washington State coast as the summer sun slipped toward the horizon, breaking through a soft overcast and setting the sky ablaze. I framed the scene using the receding flow of water as a natural leading line toward the glowing sunset. With the Haida PROII VND-CPL filter, I was able to cut through surface glare while using a mid-strength ND setting to slow the shutter and smooth the motion of the water, adding a calm, dreamlike feel to an already magnificent coastal scene.
