Haida NanoPro Soft-Star 2 in 1 Filter combines a star filter and soft focus filter together. It creates multiple rays of light, streaking outward from point light sources in the image, while the soft screen adds a halo around the light sources as well. This can make the lighting within the scene take on a more glittering, glamorous appearance.

This filter combines the benefits of both a star effect and a soft focus filter, creating a moody, dreamy atmosphere. Generally, mid-range apertures or larger are sufficient to achieve a good star effect. This effect is produced by a series of thin lines etched into the flat optical surface of a clear filter.
