Haida Picture Appreciation | October 2025
This month's Picture Appreciation is here, let's appreciate some amazing photos taken by our excellent official Haida Ambassadors with Haida filters!

I took this photo, entitled “MAGICAL BAVARIA”, at Lake Hintersee in Bavaria. For me, it is one of the most beautiful places in Germany.
For this shot, I used a 0.9 ND filter in combination with a 1.2 GND filter from the Red Diamond series. The shot was not easy, as I had to contend with very strong contrasts, but thanks to the Haida filters, I managed it.

Sumba is a land where nature feels raw and untamed, yet deeply poetic. Along its rugged coastlines, giant rocks stand proud against the crashing waves, sculpted by centuries of wind and sea. The ocean never rests here—its waters rush and swirl with unstoppable energy, a reminder of nature’s power and freedom.
Every moment in Sumba, I captured through my lens with the help of the Haida Pro II CPL VND filter, which brought clarity, depth, and sharpness into each frame. From the rushing waters to the glowing sunsets, the filter allowed me to reveal the island’s true colors and make every scene even more striking.
In Sumba, every horizon feels like a story, every wave a song, and every sunset a promise that paradise is real.

That day, with the participants of the photo tour I was leading in the Lofoten Islands, we were treated to a true gift from Mother Nature — a perfect reflection of the village of Reine and the surrounding mountains.
Even though it was midday, the light was incredibly soft, and the sky was painted with pastel tones worthy of a sunrise or sunset.
That’s the magic of winter light in the Nordic countries: even in the middle of the day, the tones remain gentle, the contrasts subtle, and everything seems bathed in an almost unreal atmosphere.
A suspended moment that we took the time to enjoy, fully aware of how privileged we were to witness such a scene.
