Venice is without doubt one of the most amazing cities in the world. I have visited this town several times and know it well – and all cool fotospots have been marked on my navigation map. Furthermore, I am fluent in a couple of languages (including Italian), which facilitates communication a lot.

I will be conducting a photo workshop in Venice in a small group (max. 4); you will be guided to best places at the right time, when the light is perfect. I am pretty sure that you will bring home some amazing photographs.

1. Program

Wednesday, 13th November 2024

  • Morning (07:30-11:30)

Golden hour shooting at the Riva degli Schiavoni | Breakfast in a bar | fish market and stroll through the alleys.

  • Late afternoon and evening (16:00-21:30)

Gheto Novo and Gheto Vecchio | Blue hour and dusk on Giudecca and San Giorgio Maggiore | Dinner in an Italian restaurant | Night shooting at the canals of Dorsoduro, at the legendary vegetables ship, at Campo San Barnaba (Location of a famous scene from «Indiana Jones and the last crusade») and much more.

Thursday, 14th November 2024

  • Morning (07:30-11:30)

Golden hour shooting at the Ponte dell’Academmia with fabulous views on the Canal Grande and the Santa Maria della Salute | Breakfast in a bar | Libreria Acqua Alta and stroll in the city to cozy canels and gorgeous bridges.

  • Late afternoon and evening (16:00-21:30)

Vaporetto-Tour | Blue hour and dusk on Piazza San Marco, Riva degli Schiavoni and Santa Maria della Salute | Dinner in an Italian restaurant | Night shooting around the Canale Grande.

The program will be adapted to the needs of the participants.

If there is Aqua Alta (a high water level respectively a flooded southern part of the city), we might even capture legendary scenes like the one beneath. Of course, Aqua Alta cannot be predicted nor guaranteed as it depends on weather conditions in the laguna of Venice.

About Stefan Klinger

图片1.png

I am Stefan Klinger, a passionate photographer from Switzerland. Since decades, I am interested in photography.
I am mainly interested in landscape, astrophotography and events. I like to be outdoors and to plan for and chase nice light situations. Photographing with Haida filters has helped me to get to the next level. The neutral density filters allow for long exposures even in sunlight and this often transforms quite ordinary shots into something totally different and much more interesting. Therefore, I like to photograph at places with water and clouds – a way to show the passage of time in photographs.
Along with the photography gear and technique, editing is qually important. I use Lightroom and Photoshop for editing my raw files.
After some individual photography coachings in the past, I am now heading to conduct my first photo workshop. The place I have chosen for this could not be better – Venice in Italy.
