Stratford City Hall in Summer

While visiting Stratford, Ontario, Canada, I found their city hall was an amazing architecture! Since there were lots of moving clouds in the sky, I decided to make a long exposure so that I can get the clouds stretching and make the walking people disappear in the photo. I stacked 2 ND filters to make a 16 stops, that gave me a 4 min exposure time to capture this beautiful architecture.

A Place of Peace

In the Krabi region of southern Thailand, there is this wonderful place. The Phanom Bencha rainforest comes extremely close to the term paradise.

A trip to a favorite area in part of Stockholm's archipelago sunrise led me to a new spot here that I hadn't explored before. A small, rugged peninsula leading towards the rising sun over the horizon. I really liked the juxtaposition of the land texture combined with the smooth waters obtained with a long exposure thanks to my Haida filters. That combination coupled with the colorful sunrise and pretty cloud patterns make this shot for me. A moment of gratitude for the beauty of nature was a nourishing start to my day.

I took this picture while scouting for the perfect position in a new location. Of course, I always prefer to shoot during sunset or sunrise.. the moments in which the light is less harsh and colors are magical! But as always, the secret is to be ready for the unplanned. It was the middle of the day, with a strong light, but clouds were running so fast, and the ocean had some perfect colors... I decided to use my ND4.5 filter, that is perfect for long exposures even in full light conditions.

Vltava-River

My workshop-group and I experienced once again how dependent a good spot is on the right weather situation. I am sure, many people pass this spot in Prague day by day without realizing how much potential it offers. During a grey, foggy day in January 2022 I discovered this beautiful area for the first time, took some photos and knew that I will come back one day when the weather conditions are even better. This spot needs at least some fog, soft light, rain or snow.

At the beginning of my first workshop day in Prague, a few days ago, we were surprised with some heavy snowfall, although the weather forecast predicted some bright, sunny days without even one cloud in the sky. We couldn't believe what was happening in the moment the snow began to fall so I cancelled my organized plans for the day and together with my group we headed to some of my favorite spots, which could be perfect during the snowfall in my mind.

Due to the strong contrast between the red color and the colorless background, it was impossible for us to pass by without shooting this beautiful element. We heard it almost screaming and begging to be photographed. The timing couldn't be better and I so appreciate the chance we got this morning.
